Brief history of Tevine

Tevine originated from PostItLive. PostItLive was a small independent news syndication site, posting news daily. However, it was constrained by the fact that it does not have a real domain, and does not have enough resources. Hence, Tevine is born. Tevine is supported by several parties, thus giving it the required resources to support itself and grow. All posts and most users were transferred from PostItLive.

What is Tevine?

Tevine can be split into two parts: "TE" and "Vine". Tevine basically allows for any topic (Totally Everything), and is a platform for any sites new and old to post in Tevine. The special feature in Tevine is this: It encourages "Guest Posting". It is no longer the writers who provide the content only - normal viewers like you have a say as well!

Tevine is a news (syndication) site. Unlike most other syndication sites, the process is not automated - we allow others to submit their stories here, and we are continually adding features to give it an incentive to do so. Stories on Tevine will be recognised and appreciated, with their relevant source being credited.

We have always wanted to give credit to our members. That's why we decided that rather than rival with sites, why not help them? We practically removed "no-follow" in posts and comments as a form of appreciation. This means that links tagged with these will be credited to the site by search engines like Google. This is especially helpful for webmasters.

Tevine gives the feeling of a blog, which makes it easier for your news stories to flow out into the web. As such, you can treat Tevine as a blog that allows other blogs and sites to enter mainstream.
