Entrecard mini updates and Wishlist

February 25, 2008

There are some minor changes in the Entrecard dashboard. More statistics are displayed, and sadly, some were moved away from the front page. The following (statistics) additions are pretty nice:
–Credits earned via ads
–Credits earned via drops
–Currently running ads (i.e. ads that you buy)
Some other changes
–Pending Ads/Your Ads moved to its own page
The changes are pretty minor, so […]

Google webmaster tools update and survey

February 23, 2008

Google has always been pretty silent with the updates and all that. This time it’s with Webmasters tools. First up are some minor visual changes. The blue “fill bars” that you see in certain pages like Crawl Stats are now more fatter. Colors used are also now more lighter, making the panel a lot more easier to look at.

Google has […]

Entrecard falling under pressure

February 23, 2008

Deciding to try Entrecard out, I registered and used it for a while. However, it does appear that Entrecard is getting pummeled to the ground — with traffic increasing almost exponentially, it’s no wonder. Alexa may not be accurate, but it sure shows a nice increasing trend.

Sounds like it’s time for Entrecard to upgrade its servers, for they […]

Alexa glitch prevents updating of graphs

February 22, 2008

Looks like Alexa is unable to update the graphs and information used in the Alexa site. Only information from the 15th of February remains, so the graph now appears “stuck” to where it was 5 days ago. The problem appears to be because the Movers and Shakers list appears to be stuck at the 12th of February, […]

Admitably, Entrecard’s pretty good

February 19, 2008

Looking at other Entrecard users, I’m pretty amazed at how well the free ad publishing service has grown. Although the thought of Flash advertisements isn’t very new, how about “free” advertisements? You may think no one wants to put on advertisement if they don’t earn money from it, but Entrecard probably is about to change that concept […]

Live search more popular than Google according to Alexa

February 15, 2008

That’s Interesting… for months Google has stayed at the 2nd position, until today where it fell to the 4th position (taken from 15 Feb). Seems like Google had a fall in traffic in their main page, relative to other pages. Though, knowing Alexa to be pretty inaccurate at times, the rankings may not really hold true.
Live […]

How a “flaw” results in a high Technorati authority

February 15, 2008

I’ve realized that my site got a ranking of about 60,000 position in the Technorati ladder. Pretty unusual, considering that Tevine is pretty new. Then, I found out that Technorati was counting links from the only plugin that I placed a little advertisement on (i.e. Social Dropdown).
Unlike Alex King, which left pure flowing links in his popularity contest plugin, […]

Yahoo rejects Microsoft’s offer

February 10, 2008

Looks like Yahoo decided to reject Microsoft’s offer of $44.6 billion. The deal came surprisingly 1 week ago, and is perceived as “hostile” by many Internet users. The primary reason why Microsoft’s offer was rejected was that its deal is not high enough.
Yahoo also believes that Microsoft is attempting to make use of the recent […]

Firefox 2.0.0.12

February 10, 2008

Firefox had another update which fixes several security and stability problems. There were 3 critical security fixes in this version, making it an important update.
There are no feature releases in this version, as it is mainly a security fix.
The update is dished out as an automatic update, but if you didn’t get the update, you can […]

Yahoo to decide if it accepts Microsoft’s offer

February 9, 2008

Looks like it’s Yahoo’s turn to decide if it should accept the $44.6 billion deal. The outcome will determine what happens to the search engine community — users, developers, etc. While Yahoo and Google has been actively embracing openess (particularly technologies that are not yet completed), going as far as to making APIs available for free, […]
