Google unleashes group chat in GMail

Posted by multippt

Looks like Google decided to add another new feature to GMail: Group Chat.

Google Chat: Multiple Contacts

This feature is similar to “inviting” friends to join a conversation in Windows Live messenger. You can chat to multiple friends on a single window. Of course, as with GMail, this messenger is available as a web application.

Aside from group chat, Google has solved the demand for emoticons by adding more emoticons (which look really nice).

One Laptop per child project

Ever since the introduction of the $100 laptop (1 laptop per child project), there has been competition for the lower priced alternative.  Web standards

Years ago few cared about web standards laid out by the World Wide Web Consortium. Today’s a little different, as there are probably a lot more people following standards - even monopolies like Microsoft.
