The Vote It Up plugin has been updated to version 1.1. You can download the latest version of Vote It Up here.

Please use the Wordpress mirror to download the plugin. Due to technical difficulties, the plugin page could not be updated on this site.

A summary of changes is listed below:

[Feature] — Initial vote count added
[Feature] — Text shown in place of vote text after user casts vote
[Feature] — Permission setting that can disallow post authors from voting own post. Their posts would show up as voted by themselves
[Feature] — Ability to set number of posts shown in Most voted posts widget
[Feature] — New template added: Text. This is a simplified version of the ticker without borders

[Changed] — Two-way voting now made more flexible
[Changed] — When guest voting is disabled, a popup appears to inform users they need to register
[Changed] — Some visual changes in administration panel for VoteItUp to fit the Wordpress 2.7 dashboard

Hi,

First off I like most of the new features you have added to the plugin.

I was wondering if you could tell me if there is a way to accomplish the following…

I am starting a blogging network. I have voting all set up on the main blog where all posts are aggregated, and the voting shows on all posts. However, when you click on a post from one of the sub blogs there is no voting button. I went and tried to add just the button, and that obviously didn’t work. So I activated the plugin on the sub blog and put the voting button in place. My problem is that just starts a whole new set of votes. What I want it to do is show voting buttons on every post in the network and have the votes all counted in one big database and count.

How can I make this happen?

Thanks for any help you can give me,
Gene :-)

Thanks for the plugin. It works fine, but an alt tag in voteitup.php line 93 would be appreciated. ;-)
